From 10 to 13 October 2026, partners of the “My Story – Storytelling to Combat Gender-Based Inequalities in European and MEDA Countries” project gathered in Portugal for the Mid-term Evaluation Meeting, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the Field of Youth programme.

The meeting brought together representatives of partner organizations to reflect on the progress made since the beginning of the project, review the activities impleme

nted so far, discuss challenges encountered during implementation, and coordinate the next steps.

Reviewing Progress and Planning the Next Steps

The Mid-term Evaluation Meeting provided an opportunity for partners to assess the project's development and exchange feedback on the work carried out across participating countries.

Discussions focused on reviewing completed activities, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that the upcoming activities remain aligned with the project's objectives.

Beyond evaluating progress, the meeting also offered space for partners to share their experiences and perspectives. Working across different countries and contexts brings different approaches to youth work, making regular exchanges particularly valuable for maintaining effective cooperation.

Promoting Gender Equality Through Storytelling

The My Story project aims to promote gender equality and address gender-based discrimination and violence by strengthening the capacities of youth organizations, youth workers, and young people.

Through storytelling, non-formal education, and awareness-raising activities, the project seeks to provide young people with creative tools to express their experiences, challenge gender stereotypes, and encourage discussion about women's rights and equal opportunities.

The project is implemented by six partner organizations from Serbia, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Lebanon, and Egypt:

  • Hate Fighters Network – Serbia (Project Coordinator)

  • Beyond Borders – Italy

  • FuteBola Sport – Portugal

  • Euro-Med EVE Maroc – Morocco

  • Youth Development Organization – Lebanon

  • Jovesolides Egypt – Egypt

Continuing Our Cooperation

The meeting in Portugal marked an important opportunity to review the project's implementation and prepare for the activities ahead.

For Euro-Med EVE Maroc and the other project partners, international cooperation remains an essential part of the project's approach, allowing organizations to exchange knowledge, learn from different experiences, and develop educational methods that respond to the needs of young people in their communities.

As My Story continues, partners remain focused on strengthening youth work, encouraging young people's participation, and promoting gender equality through creative and participatory approaches.

The My Story project (No. 101246176) is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.
